Amazing Grace

One of the most famous and powerful hymns, “Amazing Grace”, is the basic foundation of my testimony. I think it’s probably the same for most people if we really think about it.

Amazing Grace, how sweet  the sound, That saved a wretch like me…. I once was lost but now am found, Was  blind, but now, I see.

T’was Grace that taught… my heart to fear. And  Grace, my fears relieved. How precious did that Grace appear… the hour  I first believed.

Through many dangers, toils and snares… we have already  come. T’was Grace that brought us safe thus far… and Grace will lead us  home.

The Lord has promised good to me… His word my hope secures. He  will my shield and portion be… as long as life endures.

When we’ve  been here ten thousand years… bright shining as the sun. We’ve no less  days to sing God’s praise… then when we’ve first begun.

Amazing Grace,  how sweet the sound, That saved a wretch like me…. I once was lost but  now am found, Was blind, but now, I see.

So beautiful, so true. I am thankful for God’s Amazing Grace. I am thankful for His love for me.

Go Fishing!

Be fishers of men; you catch ‘em, God will clean ‘em!

Revelation 21:23

And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. (Revelation 21:23)

The Lamb as the light of heaven. Light in Scripture is the emblem of joy. Light is also the cause of beauty. No beauty is left when light is gone. Without light no radiance flashes from the sapphire, no beauty shines from the pearl.

Light is also the emblem of knowledge. In heaven our knowledge will be perfect, but the Lord Jesus Himself will be the fountain of it. All that puzzles us now will become plain to us in the light of the Lamb.

God’s Word has become my light. Without it, I live in darkness and cannot find my way. The bible tells us that “the Word was made flesh”, which is Jesus. He is the source of all joy, all beauty, all knowledge.
